In my morning pre-coffee haze, I made the rookie mistake of asking what the Wubble Bubble Ball was again. This child, who keeps track of nothing, has zero organizational skills, and a room so messy we once found a dead bird in it, woke up this morning and said, “Today is the day Target gets the Wubble Bubble Ball.” Despair loomed, but she surprisingly rallied, putting the Target shipment date on her calendar. A week ago we rushed to the store and found that they were sold out. My 12 year old daughter wanted the Wubble Bubble Ball immediately after seeing the commercial. And it will bring incredible joy to their hearts. The best part about the Wubble Bubble Ball? Buying it will shut your child up about wanting it. We discovered that for a measly $19.99…you can buy one for your child and expose them to the highs and lows of human emotions…in a matter of minutes. It’s a similarly dangerous ball, made from some form of plastic not fully definable by NASA. Today we purchased the Happy Fun Ball, or as the “As Seen on TV” people are now calling it, The Wubble Bubble Ball. Happy Fun Ball contains a liquid core, which, if exposed due to rupture, should not be touched, inhaled, or looked at….”And the best warning of all… “Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball.” “It’s Happy Fun Ball… Caution: Happy Fun Ball may suddenly accelerate to dangerous speeds. We were sent the blue one, but they also come in red, pink, orange, green and purple.Remember Happy Fun Ball from Saturday Night Live’s greatest commercials? Wubble Bubble Balls are available this year at Target, online and on Amazon. You don’t have to worry about it taking up a lot of space in storage when you’re not playing with it. As fun as playing with the Wubble is, I actually really like that it deflates and can be put away quickly. I have a weird thing about how things feel, and it’s a different texture, that’s for sure! But when it’s inflated that feeling went away. I will say that when I took the Wubble out of the box the first thing I noticed was the texture of it. ![]() You can kick it, punch it, poke it, play toss with it and it will bounce right off you if you toss it at someone. Despite it’s large size, it’s extremely light – it is just a large bubble after-all! It bounces easily on the floor and in the grass and rolls. In a couple minutes I had a fully inflated Wubble Bubble Ball, and a confused kitten staring at it. This time the air pump was a lot louder and it worked quickly. But once it’s deflated you can wash it off with a little warm water and soap and let it dry and it’s ready to go again.Īfter our initial Wubble failure, I ran out and picked up new batteries.
